The process of creating and updating this blog has taught me a number of things. Most importantly would be the experience of running a blog which talks about a specific topic with the purpose of educating and informing the public.

Web and print are two completely different platforms of publishing. Technically, the most profound difference between web and print is one reads web publications off a computer monitor/the LCD screen of a mobile device whilst print publications primarily remain on paper.

Notice that the main content is kept to the left, paragraphs are short, sufficient formatting is used and pictures are added to keep the interest.Blogs are difficult to classify due to their diversity and informality. In the early days of the web, directories maintain by human labor could not keep up the growth of the web; likewise, blog directories cannot keep up with the explosive growth of blogs (Hong, Pietra, Poon. n.d.).

The blogging phenomenon has been getting a lot of attention recently. It is a trend which is taking over the world, and doing so at a prodigious rate. According to Technorati (2008), there is a blog created every second, adding to the total of 133 million blogs tracked by Technorati.
People are getting more and more ignorant these days, more specifically, the younger generation - comprising mostly of students and young working adults. We are ignorant towards what's going on in the realm of media and publishing. Ignorant towards the issues pertaining to what's published and whats not. Ignorance towards the impact and effects of certain published material.
